The State is allowing online (Zoom) CEU Classes, as well as in-seat instruction. Zoom classes re limited to 25 students per class; in-seat instruction is limited to 50 students per class.
All CEUs must be obtained by June 30, 2024 – three months prior to license renewal.

CASIA Official ESA/ NTS Reseller
CASIA has resigned an agreement with ESA/NTS to be an official reseller of their education training. This curriculum was specifically compiled to meet the 288-hour course requirements of the state of Connecticut when apprenticing for the L-6 low voltage electrical license. The NTS program is online and the progression of each student’s study is monitored and tracked by NTS.

Deadline for registration is 2 weeks prior to class date. Cancellation policy: Full refund will be issued 10 days prior to class. Less than 10 days, a $40 administration fee will be charged. No shows will forfeit registration fee.

To attend class, you must have a copy of the *2017 NEC Code Book with you.
Codebooks can be purchased at local electrical supply houses and distribution centers. No student will be allowed to participate in the class without their own copy of the 2017 Codebook. Please have a functioning calculator for class.
L-6 LIMITED ELECTRICAL CONNECTICUT APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING

This coursework will start students on their journey to complete the 295.5 required training hours for the L-6 Limited Electrical Connecticut Apprenticeship program. As an apprentice, they will learn on the job under the supervision of a journeyperson while working for an approved sponsor and attending the related instruction through an approved provider. Students will complete 295.5 hours of related instructions as well as 4,000 hours of on-the-job training while they are enrolled.
FAIM / FIRE ALARM INSTALLATION METHODS

FAIM is ideal for people who install, service, design, or review the designs of fire alarm systems, including code enforcement personnel. It provides the necessary review material to prepare for NICET Level 1 and 2 examinations.
FAIM follows the structure of NFPA 72, and is based on the 2010 Edition of NFPA 72 and the 2008 NFPA 70. The course concludes with a two-hour exam.

NTS Electronic Access Control (EAC) Course

This 14-hour course, followed by an exam provides the training needed to successfully design and install an electronic access control system. It teaches the theory and practical application of locks, door hardware and electronic access control systems. The course culminates in a system design exercise based on a customer’s specifications and building plan.

LIFE SAFETY CODE

In eight hours of classroom instruction, students learn the practical application of the 2009 editions of the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code. Instruction focuses on the fire alarm and access control requirements for most common occupancy classes.
